STING Capital invests € 215,000 in mobile and web-based learning tool designer Vocab

“Consumers in the Nordics are not as used to paying for educational products as they are in other parts of the world, where there is a willingness to invest in teaching tools. Vocab’s platforms make extremely rapid and qualitative instruction possible, with technically measurable results. We are therefore convinced that Vocab has a promising future,” adds Gemvik.

“STING Capital’s investment provides us with the chance to strengthen our international cooperation and boost our growth. For the first time we now also have resources available to market our product,” says Niss Jonas Carlsson, Vocab’s CEO.

Vocab is close to completing product development, and is now focusing on making the platforms more user friendly and expanding the tools’ educational content. Vocab has already won a contract in Russia:

“The world’s largest educational publisher, in one of the world’s biggest markets, Russia’s Drofa, has chosen Vocab to launch a mobile intensive training application for national examinations that some two million Russians take every year,” Carlsson says.
